How to Purchase a Gravestone

There is a lot of emotion around the purchase of a gravestone, whether as part of your own pre-planning or at the time of need. We seek to make it as smooth and easy a process as possible. This guide will help you get started. If you need assistance or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d be happy to go through this list with you.

1. Contact Cemetery

  • Will there be a permit for installation of stone? If so, how much? And will you pay directly or pay with purchase of monument?
  • Ask cemetery if they have any size, material, or color restrictions.
  • Will the stone be placed on one space or two?
  • If you own multiple spaces, please make sure the cemetery knows which space(s) you would like to use for the stone being purchased.

When you place your order, we will gather all of the information and components you wish to include. Our designer will then draw up a scale drawing of the monument for your approval. If there is something that you don’t like or want to see a different way, we will redraw the design and send back for your approval. No work will begin on the stone until you are happy with the design.
